How do I send money overseas?
There are two ways to do this; you can either send a telegraphic transfer (which goes directly to beneficiary’s account) or request a bank draft which is a cheque drawn on an overseas bank. Draft has to be sent to the recipient by the applicant while transfer is done by the bank internally

What about business loans, what are the conditions?

You can obtain a business loan if you

  1. have an account with us for a period no less than six months prior to applying
  2. are a going concern, that is, you have been operating the business for a while
  3. Provide a project write up, complete with cash flow projections and audited reports for the past years
  4. Provide tangible collateral for the loan

How is the home loan structured?
Home loans are given for home purchase, renovation, and home construction. These loans require that you have a title deed and deposit with us an amount equivalent to 20% of the required loan. This deposit will earn interest and won’t be withdrawn for the duration of the loan. The maximum payment time is 10 years.

Is it possible to liquidate my outstanding obligation with the bank?
Yes you may liquidate your obligation with no recourse.

Is loan top up allowed?

After repaying over ½ of the loan, you are free to re-apply for fresh loan. All you have to do is fill in an application form and route it through the employer.

What are the maximum loan, repayment time and interest charged?
We offer a maximum of your 12 months net income and should be repaid in 24 months instalments. You may however opt to repay in 12 or 18 months if you desire. Interest charged is 1.5% monthly..

How do I apply for a personal loan?

forms, have it signed in all required spaces, attach recent salary slip and send the form to us.

For a personal loan, what are the requirements?
You need to be employed or have the ability to generate income and if employed, we require an undertaking from your employer that your salary/income would be channelled to Azania Bancorp. If self employed you would have to provide collateral to secure you loan.

After opening an account, do I become eligible for personal loans?
Loans are not an automatic process. After starting a relationship with us you may wish to access our loan products but will have to satisfy our loan requirements to obtain a loan.
